you're making some valid points, but that does not distract from the pivot your post essentially is. again, the vast majority of leftists are NOT idiots vandalising and "terrorising" cities, just like the vast majority of right wingers are not holocaust denying nazi morons who set refugee homes on fire.

ofc the sensationalist media focuses on the "newsworthy" extremes, but that does not justify YOUR generalisations regarding the political left... and concerning your point about media bias, let me point you to of "the right" (since it's ok to imply it's all of them and not just the simple minded idiots), that is completely dictating the narrative in every comment section (with way more bigots than "the left" could ever hope to assemble in order to vandalise / protest any event) on articles concerning immigrants and refugees with their bigotry and moronic generalisations...

Democrats are four times more likely to be murderous political terrorists.

80% of gun crime is committed by Democrats.

No exaggeration this time.

For comparison, the US has a firearms rate of 112.6. We almost have as many bikes per capita as the US has guns

I knew that Germany had decent gun ownership rates but never knew that France was even higher. Cyprus also stands out with 36.4, more than Greece and Turkey combined!

Lol, we're dead last ^^.

Switzerland are mainly army guns, being put in a safe after mandatory military service. Cyprus is always in half of a conflict being Turkish/Greek at the same time.

Sweden surprises me actually.. France and Germany as well..

Wondering how many Swedes are still hunting in their low density populated country ^
It was interesting to read that when British police were given the chance, they did not want to go back carrying a firearm. (even when their life was in danger every year in service).
They felt it made them more able to be a guardian of the citizens.

And ur right. nn guns in peace. I do trust my government enough to not need them.

what the actual fuck? in these times i would expect a police officer to be able to counter any threat at any time
i would be pretty angry as an english citizen
in hamburg its quite different for example, here all have received an order to carry their weapons at all times, even staff members that are just going to the supermarket across the street ^^

I think the same happens in the UK, they are ordered to carry fire arms at specific scenario's. (high population density locations with a possibility for terrorist attacks)..
In general, when those chances are not there, I can understand the logic.
