not murder, but to an extent some sort of lesser crime yeah

/ also i hope this isnt some shitty gotcha cuz it isnt

pro choice people: an unborn child isnt a full human, especially when it's just a tiny clump of cells

idiot: ok ok ok ok but let me ask you, you clearly agree that if an assault kills that fetus that should be full blown murder charges right?

pro choice people: let me start over with the basics, actually nvm....

May I ask for those people here that argue abortion is not murder, could I also ask you if a pregnant mother is being attacked and her unborn fetus dies, should the attacker be charged with murder?

following this logic, if the mother dies due to complications during childbirth, shouldn't the baby be charged with murder upon being born?

The unborn fetus will be considered a human in that instance because it fits their narrative, but it's still just a clump of cells for abortion purposes.

There is a VERY low support level for 3rd term abortions among democratic voters. when we see proposed bills for abortion protection without reasonable restrictions these are generally either early drafts OR DOA bills they know cannot pass a GOP legislature. when you buy a car you dont offer MSRP, you come in low, they holes MSRP plus a few percent, you meet in the middle.

im sure anyone can dig up a few pea brained state level democrat legislatures calling for death to alive babies or 3rd term abortions without a medical reason, but in reality these laws dont exist almost anywhere. and we should judge legislators more on what laws they do pass than what laws they propose, for a number of reasons, but largest among them is a massive amount of bad laws on the actual books that we need to undo, from both sides of the aisle.

That is my point though. You can’t just simply say x% support abortion because that makes no sense with there being so many specifics.

while that's true and i appreciate your nuance, i'd wager that a larger % of republican voters would accept abortion bans with no exceptions than democrat voters who would accept abortion protection with no exceptions.

or another way to look at it a higher % of GOP voters are willing to let a mother die than democrats who would stomach a 3rd term abortion for no medical reasons.

but i'd love to see the data if someone would collect it without egregious polling bias. i mainly base this opinion on GOP voters calling a mother dying rather than aborting "god's plan", whereas anyone who carries a baby for 8 months just to then abort it without cause is just an asshole no one likes.

This topic has been beat to death.
Its one of the great places where both sides do a 180*.
Government should/should not be involved in our lives.
And I can't stand the Christian overtones of the R's take.
I can't stand the crazy far left who want this right into the late pregnancy where the "is it a child" goes away.
I pretty much stand where most Dr's do on this one, and would let them and their client make the choice.
I would have the Gov't regulate the extreme out of both sides of this.

Big mad

Also who calls a rambling mess of inconsistency a "Well together projection". I've seen middle schoolers articulate themselves better.

Murder is the unjustified ending of life, whereas the pro-choice argument (that uses any definition of when life begins, including at conception) argues that it is justified because no life (fetus) has the right to occupy and utilize the body of another (the parent).

If you're pregnant, you can't just absolve yourself of responsibility and claim the baby is your body so you can kill it justifiably. It's a product of your body and the choices you've made.

One is not claiming that the "baby is your body". One is claiming that the baby is inside their body, and exercising bodily autonomy by having the baby removed.
