teachers are humans, yes. teachers have always done that, yes. teachers in a free country should be allowed to do that within reason. my point is not that there weren't ANY teachers who ever mentioned ANY issues concerning gender or such - my point is that the myth of teachers systematically indoctrinating kids with harmful knowledge is made up culture war bullshit. desantis' attack on free speech is a "solution" in search of a problem, it's red meat for his bigoted base, and NOT something that makes any practical sense, quite the opposite - and it's terrible precedent.
