if a huge amount of the population loses faith in the election system, it's not because they are "stupid retards" - It's critically important that every citizen has faith in their election system. Even if I personally think they are retards, just sitting back and calling them that all day will only further erode the democracy.

Anything that makes people suspicious during an election should be carefully looked at, and people should be given reassurances instead of just finger-pointing and laughing. This seems like a pretty basic concept in a healthy democracy.

I would say it’s a failure in education more than anything.

I don’t think many of the conspiracy theorists care about reassurance from the educated.

Also, you would have to define what a “huge amount” is. I personally don’t think that a “huge amount” of people have lost immense levels of faith in the election system (as per my definition of “huge amount”).. nowhere near what we’ve seen from the misinformed and uneducated in the USA anyways.
