So what is the finite stimulus? I don’t need to argue you against you, your opinion has no bearing on truth. You made a claim based on your opinion evidenced by your opinion while claiming that your opinion is logical. Just admit you are basically saying “because I said so”

I'm using what I've been told by Christians nearly universally as my starting point, and pointing out the logical conclusions from those aspects. If you don't hold any particular aspect of that, like God being infinite in all capacities, then tell me and we will just end there.

I've been told by basically everybody that God is infinite in all capacities. That includes pain tolerance. Any physical pain then is a finite stimulus and therefore isn't meaningful against a God with an infinite pain capacity.

You could also take the position snipa tried to, where Hell is infinite spiritual pain, but then God is also evil for creating a realm of infinite pain and creating a system that sends people there.

I don’t know what you mean by infinite in all capacities. Do you mean He has the capacity to lie? He has the capacity to die? And while you are at it what do you mean “ pain tolerance “ ? Is this the amount of pain one can feel before their heart stops due to the pain?

E/ I have already stated my beliefs are from the Bible.

Saying "my beliefs are from the bible" is one of the most meaningless things you can possibly say. You aren't reading the bible in its original language, cultural context, or really anything. Your beliefs are filtered through countless people across thousands of years. I read recently that Germany never developed a protestant condemnation of gay people because in German the bible translates those lines as child molesters, for example of how those things can play a pretty huge part in your interpretation. So no, your beliefs aren't "from the bible" unless you are intimiately familiar with the culture and language it was written in.

Having a capacity doesn't mean he would use that capacity. So... maybe? I'd say probably. I find it telling that you're asking for a way to measure divine pain tolerance but not a way to measure anything that's inconvenient.

I am not trying find a way to measure divine pain tolerance I am asking you to define what you mean by pain tolerance. By your definition of capacity I would say that the Bible teaches God cannot lie therefore would not be infinite in all capacities. Saying this is logical “because I said so” is meaningless. I would say that “you are not reading the Bible in the original language at the time it was written therefore you’re subject to the translators’ influence” is another statement of ignorance. Your assertion that because the German translation is different than the KJV in naming the Sodomites child molesters has no bearing whether the KJV is true. I am a Baptist I believe the KJV is perfect Word of God in English. That doesn’t mean I believe every translation in every language is perfect. But know this, there are 2 stories in the KJV of sodomites both of which show the sodomites as the filthy dogs that they are. There are those that believe all sodomites desire to molest children.

Everybody believes their version is the true version. All you've done is stick your fingers in your ears when shown that's not a reliable assumption.

If you think God doesn't have an infinite tolerance for pain, then okay, that's fine. Doesn't seem like a God you could describe as all powerful though. I mean, if there's a way to make him tap out from pain I'd bet Krishna could kick his ass.

I am being nice. I know he’s just trying to provoke me. As far as sending him a Gospel tract, I doubt that would help seeing he is his own final authority.

every atheist/antitheist is in their own godhood and with it comes subjective reasoning

I know you guys have to pretend we're arrogant when we best you on your own theology. I just wish you would get more creative in your coping mechanisms because this one got old a long time ago.

I never said whether I believe God has an infinite tolerance for pain because I cannot get you to define what you mean by that. Just because theBible teaches God cannot lie doesn’t mean He is finite. All you have done is continue the this is logical “because I said so” argument. And no, you are wrong again. I am unaware of anyone that claims that their NIV is the perfect Word of God. But certainly not everyone. Even if everyone did that would not change reality.
