I don’t think that young people need them, but I think that these vaccines can be a lifesaver for the elderly or those with compromised immune systems that can actually kick the bucket because of Covid. That’s why I think they are a good thing. I don’t agree with mass vaccination, or forced vaccination (even in private business).

We don’t need herd immunity if the people who are highest risk of dying are vaccinated. It doesn’t matter if young, healthy people get covid-19, they aren’t going to die, and the CDC is quite clear that vaccinated people aren’t contracting or spreading COVID-19.

They still don’t know if it’s possible to spread covid once vaccinated that will take more time to know. We also don’t know how long immunity will last which is another benefit of reaching herd immunity as fast as possible so the virus will stop spreading. The vaccines have been shown to be effective at preventing hospitalizations and death
