you're certainly not demented, they both have pluses and minuses. and actually share quite a few minuses. their 30 year voting record is coming back to haunt both of them. Biden's faults seem to be age related, HRC's seem to be personality related. but i think when the math shakes out Biden is more electable by a slim margin, even if he slurs his speech. which really speaks to how shitty HRC is in public perception.

There is definitely a huge difference between pro-establishment liberalism aka HRC and anti-establishment progressivism aka Bernie.

I think it's still true that on aggregate, the mainstream/establishment media does have a massive liberal tilt on literally every single issue where the economic status quo isnt put into question.

Trump get's a reputation as being anti fact, this isn't true. he doesnt say things that are wholey untrue, he says half truths that speak directly to the rage of his voting bloc. and while centrists understand they're not being told facts at face value they also recognize the underlying truths in them. Example: did Bill Clinton ruin blue collar jobs with NAFTA. no of course not, the real answer is far more complicated. but he's standing next to HRC, who is bills wife, and people want Trump to toss shit at her.

Trump could 100% weave in things that are even true, such as massive tax raises (even if many go to corporations). or he could do what the other democrats are doing, and speaking directly to govt workers and union members who dont want to lose their healthcare plan. he'd be brash and rude about it, but the facts are many people dont want to lose their healthcare plan for a big question mark. me included.

as to the whole taking the senate, no. that wont work either. why? because half or more of the democrats on the debate stage are against even the idea of medicare for all right now. as we speak a lot of support from registered democrat voters is showing that's not an easy thing to push through even the democratic party.

the plan to make bernies bill work is to oust not just the republicans, but the moderate democrats. aka mission impossible. so you're left with expanding medicare as the best case scenario because u cant pass a wealth tax. aka what joe biden wants. bernie is a dreamer, but the reality of a bernie presidency is exactly what Joe biden is presenting at face value. its hard to accept that i know, but its a fact. medicare for all is still a decade or more away at the best case, its really that simple.
