this

present the case based on the evidence presented in the House of Reps in which it, based on all (D) votes, impeached the President

that evidence was ‘sufficient enough’ for the one chamber of the legitthere why isn’t it good enough now for presentation to the other chamber?

I actually agree.

It legally has to put opinion in its name because the company is absolutely fraudulent.

What's the argument to block all witnesses from testifying under oath? At first, the GOP indicated that they would be okay with folks testifying as long as Trump' camp got their say on the matter, as well. That appears to have changed.

But if people testify under oath and it can be reasonably shown that Trump unlawfully and knowingly withheld funds from a foreign country as a quid pro quo for to investigate a political adversary, why wouldn't that qualify as an offence that meets a high crime or misdemeanor?

Because it would extend the trial for months while witnesses fight subpoenas. It's better to just end it quickly so the nation can move on.

Honestly, they already have all the evidence they need to pass a judgment. They are going to say that Trump didn't abuse his power and he didn't obstruct Congress regardless of the evidence. There's simply not enough pressure by the American people to actually do anything about it.

That's just not true.

Pew came out with a poll today that showed 51% of respondents said Trump should be removed from office by the Senate and 46% said the trial should result in the president staying in office.

Reuters/Ipsos came out with a poll that showed 72% agreed that the trial “should allow witnesses with firsthand knowledge of the impeachment charges to testify,” including 84% of Democrats and 69% of Republicans.

The GOP aren't blocking witnesses and a fair trial because it's what the American people want. They are doing it because it is politically advantageous to do so.
