Bullshit. Even if Trump and Trumpism become toxic after he leaves office, the stance on this Ukraine nonsense definitely is not the pivotal moment for it.
Not voting to impeach a sitting president over such a mundane abuse of power wont sink their stock in the history books.
Also keep in mind that if he gets a 2nd term, it will mean that he won reelection in 2020 - so it was the American voter who gave him another term even after all the info from the impeachment hearings were out and after everyone had seen for four years how a Trump presidency plays out. In this scenario, the American public didnt abandon him, so why should it be disqualifying for Republicans to have followed suit?
