so what's the number of innocent children, students, church- movie- and concert-goers you'd be willing to sacrifice before you start considering that something has to happen, that something has to significantly change? 100k? 500k? more?

btw, that moronic car analogy is fundamentally flawed. just because there are things that kill more people doesn't mean you should just dismiss a certain issue. maybe google 'relative privation'. also, cars aren't even in the same category, they are absolutely vital for our societies, unlike guns their primary function is NOT to inflict damage or kill, and car manufacturers as well as taxpayers spend billions each year to make traffic as safe as possible and prevent human losses. by your fallacious logic we might as well stop researching cancer cures because more people die from heart diseases...

it never ceases to amaze me that people still consider this a valid point...

Guns make it so easy for someone to go out and kill. They have more confidence with guns.
However, you can't just go out and ban guns or start throwing down laws on gun abiding citizens.
With so much freedom in the USA.....we really can't go out and look for illegal guns. Everyone would take the government to court. lol.
So we have to wait until those 2 million unregistered illegal guns to show up in a crime scene.
That's scary. At this point we have so many guns out there that it makes more sense to just have EVERYONE with guns. More training.
If aliens could just zap all the illegal guns up into the air then that would be ideal but that's not goign to happen. We have to just make sure we know where these guns are going.
Have an annual gun check. More fines if you don't lock it up. ect. use those money from fines and fees from increased regulation to fund more cops for public schools.
Win win situation.
Harder to get guns. More headaches for gun owners but we can make police officers become more involved with people by making gun owners go in and check in their guns once in awhile lol.
They can make a lot of money that way to fund more cops.
More cops = more people to check up and regulate gun laws. Keep your guns...just follow the laws.
Im just throwing silly ideas out there but there has to be a better way then dealing with so many people whining about guns.
Just remember that there will ALWAYS be angry people and violence. If all the gun violence stopped...we'd have people stabbing or go on murdering sprees without guns.

I honestly blame pharma drugs more then anything. nearly all these mass shooters have been on pharma drugs. Im not talking about those gang shootings. That's just a lifestyle and drug life. Those anti depressants ect are scary.
Vets going on shootings. Vets killing themselves. All on these drugs.
past shooters...were all on drugs. lol
a trend and subject that media does not want to mess with cause the drug companies have control over colleges that pump out the best lawyers.

Seriously though. Why doesn't anyone talk about the drugs these shooters are on? Are we just going to ignore that and just blame everything on guns and pokemon?

The scientific method was created by religious men of science immediately after the protestant reformation. It wasnt a coincidence

Bacon was Anglican, true, but was influenced by people who were culturally part of a religion and were often imprisoned or persecuted for not only seeking proof for God... whereas Bacon said the scientific method should only be used in the pursuit of proving the existence of God and nothing else.
Think of how much further we would have gotten if religion didn’t put a cap on knowledge?

Isaac Newton wrote treatises on scripture while he was inventing calculus. You're asinine in this case

Probably to replace the farce with fact. Bahaha.
You’re getting offended.
Do some research on both of the Bacons.

You state that a gun’s primary function is to kill, but rather, their primary function is to defend the owner and their basic rights. Indeed, self defense is the fundamental right, without which no one can dare challenge tyranny, and therefore cannot be free.

Without the capability to defend themselves, the colonists would not have defeated the British, and the USA would not exist. Personal arms allowed the founding fathers to defeat the british; that’s why it is the second essential right. Remove the right to bear arms, and you eliminate the power of the people to revolt; which is the sole source of their sovereignty.

As to your argument that we spend money on making cars safe, the fact is they aren’t. Like guns, they are a tool that when misused can become a weapon in a homicide. Furthermore, never did I say that I’m against restricting individuals with mental illness or violent felons from purchasing guns.

strange how countries without such a gun epidemic are not only safer, but also have more freedom... guess you ppl just don't know how to use them properly.
oh, and considering the equipment of modern armies (bombs, missiles, tanks, aircraft, drones...), your little dick replacements would obviously do nothing. in case you haven't noticed, it's not the 18th century anymore...

lastly, the fact that you can't even acknowledge blatantly obvious truths like the car industry spending loads of money to make cars safer (and again, the analogy is fallacious and retarded to begin with), just illustrates how entirely dishonest and irrational you are...
