There was optimism about Millennials being politically active and conscious about being socially and politically active to change their world but instead you get a mix of apathy and tribalism outrage.
Gen Z has grown up with the internet since they were children and will most likely inherit an economic system far worse than my generation will. Gen Z is also going to be a group of people with such an alarming rate of children growing up without stable father figures which isn't going to create any stable groups. The drug abuse problem in this country is beginning to manifest worse and worse because of an archaic and dull criminal justice system and Pharma companies having so much influence that people are just dealt with , with medication first instead of behavioral therapy first or just parents attempting to spend more time. Growing up on welfare or a parent being forced to work a lot so they don't spend enough time with their kids. And will only get worse as job prospects continue to dwindle and the jobs that do exist, people are not properly educated or trained to do.
Gen Z is going to be mostly the same as Millennials.
in general probably yeah but with a few but key differences

Generations are largely a useless grouping. I don't see any reason why the young people of the future will have better voting turnouts since low engagement is inherently a young-person thing since they have less stability in their lives.
see above but further: i don’t disagree with large age-bracket groupings being relatively uselss but a: its common practice and b: one is able to extrapolate trends from them.
millennials often think posting on reddit or retweeting or sharing fb posts = political engagement. i mean it kinda is but not really. maybe voting in the general even if its for harambe once in a while.
id wager a gen z individual would have a higher propensity to go vote in local/municipal/state elections and stfu about it after. same with ‘new’ or ‘refreshed’ voters due to drumpf that i mentioned above
