Only thing the USA is a world leader in is stupidity.

Look at you all justifying annexing Greenland based on what Spain did 500 years ago.

You attack a NATO ally and you will isolate yourselves.

Europe, Canada, South America will quickly pivot to China. Who is going to make any deal with the USA when they can't be trusted.

Half of the people in your country can see this. The rest of you, we shouldn't blame, you were raised by inbred hillbillies and an underfunded education system.

Hopefully you actually hold midterm elections and your shitty electoral system will step in and save you from this fate.

America spends way more than Canada on education. This is true no matter how you correct the data--per capita, per student or by gdp. Both countries have ridiculously inefficient education systems.

Canada can also not pivot away from NATO and toward China, it's literally an impossibility, at least for the next several decades. If you tried you actually would become the 51st state. It would be interpreted as an act of war under the Monroe doctrine. China is nowhere near stupid enough to entertain this possibility, even if you guys are.

I love Canada, but a lot of you guys are out of your damn minds.

Canada trading more with China does not equal military alignment, and it certainly isn’t an “act of war.”

Threatening annexation over trade diversification doesn’t make your case. It validates the fear driving diversification to begin with.

Canada becoming the 51st state is pure fantasy.

Lol you can import more from China, you can't export more to them without increasing your costs dramatically. We have a trade deficit, if corrected for gdp it becomes obvious how much more reliant you are on our business than we are on yours. Canadian exports to America account for 20% of your GDP. American exports to Canada account for less than 1% of ours. You have no hand whatsoever in this regard either. You can't hurt us in a trade war and we can destroy you in one.

Canada supplies things the U.S. can’t quickly replace at scale: energy, electricity, critical minerals, auto parts, aluminum, uranium, lumber, fertilizers.

Trade deficits don’t mean immunity either. They mean dependency on inputs. Shutting off a supplier hurts the buyer when there’s no fast alternative

Diversification isn’t about flipping a switch overnight. it’s about reducing single country leverage over time.

Yeah. All of those things apply, but to a much greater extent, in the opposite direction also. If you correct for GDP, you're both much more reliant on imports AND on exports to the USA than we are on either to you.

You guys got a lot of feelings that you like to lash out on, no real data to support your positions tho.
