I wouldn't disgree with this but I just think an even more simple point is sufficient.
America has double the amount of guns per capita as the next country. Triple the amount as any European country.
More guns. More shootings.
More guns, more gun culture and all the associated factors
I was reading a wiki article there that said there is approximately 1.5 million registered guns in the US approximately 350 million unregistered.
That seems way off but maybe it's to do with definition, idk maybe someone can explain that better.
I also just looked into the countries he suggested since he didnt bother answering my question and the licensing process is so vastly different and more involved.
Like Switzerland, you cant have a criminal record, you cant have a past mental health history that indicates your mental health might cause you to be a danger to yourself or others, there's a full permitting process, etc.
What a dumbass comparison especially in this topic where a repeat criminal with a mental health record purchased an AR over the counter.
You also cant tout your guns around on your hip like you have compensate for something in those countries, nor is self defence a valid option to obtain a firearm. In Finland for example you have to show proof of what you are doing to get a firearms permit, such as proof you have hunting licences, proof you are engaged in a club for sports shooting, etc.
