I hope that Israel - as the richest and most developed country in the region - takes a front seat in leading these people to prosperity. Ultimately I think we need to improve the image of Israel in the eyes of its neighbours to ensure this peace is everlasting. Like you said these people are indoctrinated to hate Israel from young age and this has to change somehow and it’s up to Israel to do it in my opinion. Recent issues with Israeli hooligans abroad do not do any justice to Israel peace efforts. Not an easy task by any means..
In stable democracies area (where you live), where existential threats are often less immediate, the emphasis tends to be on diplomacy, collaboration, and fostering a global image. Strength is measured by alliances and soft power.
In regions with a constant struggle for survival, like where I live, the mindset has to prioritize immediate security and deterrence. Being perceived as strong is essential, not just for defense but to ensure survival in an environment where weakness invites aggression.
