i was being hyperbolic, i just hate a lot of the absolutist arguments wherein the other side is reduced to nothing. Thing's like "studies have proven ____ handle ____ better." then the poster goes on to state this as some objective fact to needlessly measure their ideology's dick.
I don't think u can really objectively say what makes the US great, much less pin it to two factors. Both are important for sure, but i think both are less important than our abundance of natural resources. And of course the ideologies themselves are really just talking points that are overstated, most people are centrists. Most people hold tenants of both ideologies.
many arguments can be made against such an open ended claim, but my point was more why bother arguing over it anyways. It serves no more purpose in my mind than the "trump won get over it" posts. that's fine if you're not trying to make a point, many of my posts are the same. its just pard has been a pretty scummy cess pool lately, not a triggering argument laden forum no, not that kind of cess pool. Its predictable and boring. Its turned into the Good Housekeeping of the shitter side magazine rack.
