And to those that have criticized our media strategy: this will be yet another example of why we used it - because it works!

But Kavanaugh grew frustrated when it came to questions that dug into his private life, particularly his drinking habits and his sexual proclivities, according to three people famliar with the preparations, who requested anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. He declined to answer some questions altogether, saying they were too personal, these people said.

"I'm not going to answer that," Kavanaugh said at one point according to a senior White House official, who said the questions were designed to go over the line and that he struck the right tone.

Thats literally the point of the mock hearing. They are intentionally asking him unreasonable questions so he'll know how to respond when the democrats do the same in the real hearing. And as they say, he struck the right tone. As Dukakis can tell you, being well prepared for a grilling on TV means you can't just keep your cool and strike a neutral tone no matter how demented the line of questioning is. When you get asked patently unreasonable questions, you should act offended and display some hostility, because otherwise you might wind up looking too timid or emotionless. And only a fool would go into a hearing this week without expecting the democrats to cross the line in every way they can dream up.

If a democrat gets up and asks Brett Kavanaugh how he'd feel if someone molested one of his daughters, he can't just sit there passively and prevaricate.

lol

so what you're saying is Kavanaugh needs to learn how to act like he's innocent, and that's the point of the mock hearing? gotcha.

It pains me that society gives us equal votes.
Democracy was a mistake.

Agreed. Trump voters should be barred from participating in future presidential elections.

I have no idea if it happened but the accusation itself describes a serious abuse of another person and should not be minimized

If this preppy white conservative boy from money was replaced with a muslim or a black kid or an undocumented immigrant or a trans person or an antifa punk can you honestly say the minimizing would happen on your side?

because I'd say the same as ive said in this thread but I don't think many on your side would.

Agreed, the accusation should not be minimized. Which I didnt. All I did was say that it shouldnt be blown out of proportion either.

And if a black/illegal immigrant/muslim/trans person was in consideration for an office as high as that of a SCOTUS justice, I would raise the same question: does a 2.5/10 sexual transgression from this persons teenage years 35 years ago really disqualify him/her/zhe from this office?

Even though I'll be honest here and admit that I might be biased and rate the same action as a 3/10 or a 3.5/10 in that case.
