Football fans being rude and edgy is normal fare for very sporting event. This is no revelation. Mobs of """dutch""" hunting down Jews in the street at random with no idea who they are, just trying to find anyone who looks Jewish and beat them- thats a pogrom.

I mean just one obvious example to me is that there have been multiple pro-hamas / pro-palestinian rallies in Minneapolis in the past year. They drove a parade of ATVs with Hamas flags and headbands in one, calling not for an end to the war but an end to Israel. They took over university buildings by force in one riot. Just a week after the Oct 7th attacks, they swarmed the St Paul capitol chanting "From the river to the sea"

Nobody hunts down the arabs in MN and bashes their heads in for their chants. Jews better look over their shoulders though

Those Dutch citizens, whether of Arab of Dutch origin responsible for violence will be brought to justice. Maccabi hooligans responsible for violence that are now held in custody should be brought to justice and deported + their entrance to EU barred.

As mentioned - Dutch government is taking allegations of anti-semitism with extreme priority and it’s the news of the hour today and probably this weekend and next week. I’m literally sitting with my jewish colleagues down for a lunch as I write this post discussing this.

Anyone trying to compare this to October 7th/the Holocaust/pogroms cant be wholeheartedly ignored for being disingenuous at best and purposefully misleading at worst.

Again, this was football shenanigans caused by hooligans and this type of behavior is part and parcel of living in European cities. No one gives a shit when this happens to Europeans, so why the uproar now? The victim mentality is disgusting.

Tourists who come to our city to enjoy a game or have a good time should be protected and we stand united behind our Jews and our Arabs and we ostracize those that break the law.

People who come here to cause trouble and beat up Arab taxi drivers for flying a Palestinian flag got what they deserved and cannot cry “antisemitism”. Israel should hold them accountable, after all they are guests in our land and don’t understand how things are run here.

Having said that there was a despicable Jew hunt organized in the aftermath of attacks on taxi drivers and those responsible for it will be dealt with separately under Dutch law which is v strict against attacks on Jews.

Israeli delegation is flying urgently to The Netherlands to settle this and negotiate.

This wasn’t a football incident, as there’s no animosity between Ajax and Maccabi — quite the opposite.
