The walls are closing in because this is worse than Watergate, no one is above the law, his cult will follow him off a cliff, and Republicans are pouncing.

God forbid you have an opinion on something.

Sure, there's several I like, in the context of a Republican primary. There's several running I would vote for over Biden in 2024, because I have strong disagreements with any normal Democrat. Pretty much everyone running except Trump, DeSantis, and Ramaswamy, I'd choose over Biden... and they happen to be the first, second, and third most popular candidates. I'm basically the anti-Republican primary voter... the things that turn me off are what turn on those voters.

If it's Trump or Ramaswamy, I'm voting Biden. If it's DeSantis, I'm writing in. If it's anyone else I've heard of in the field, I'm probably voting them over Biden.

the popular modern republicans are anti-establishment populists, which is antithetical to your worldview I assume.

I would guess you would prefer someone like Pence over those types.

I don't know that there's a meaningful anti-establishment populist that exists in the Republican party. The most meaningful anti-establishment, populist action I can think of in recent years is Romney proposing a child allowance which provided a generous benefit for parents while reducing welfare programs to pay for it.

But if your idea of anti-establishment populism is stealing an election, or calling for eliminating the FBI, or highly regulating all social media, there are several to choose from. But it's an obviously dopey populism that doesn't even matter to the concerns of real people.

yeah I agree most aren't meaningful. It's more of a perception of anti-establishment populism by focusing on things like the 'trans agenda', or whatever the current buzz is, rather than effective strategies focusing on things like inflation, housing affordability, wages, depression and drug use, changing demographics and issues with growing anti-natalism tendencies, and other things I find important.

the 20 videos in a row of youtube grifters talking about the latest trans headline while completely ignoring what actually matters and in what ways the west is degrading, it's all so tiresome
