What's funny is that Trump has turned out to be one of the more moderate candidates of the GOP this cycle.
He's not really a Conservative. He has taken anti-war stances, anti-lobbyist stances, and recently praised PP.
And yet, he is leading in the polls. He did well in Iowa, won NH, and looks like he poised to win SC.
4 of the past 9 Republicans that got greater than 20% in both Iowa and NH won the GOP nomination. If Trump wins SC, it's going to be a nightmare for the GOP. He is simply a problem that won't go away despite party leaders' and Fox News' best efforts.
Have to wholeheartedly disagree.
I feel like you're referencing things he said, when you should be referencing ALL things he said.
He came out as anti war? He said on CNN in a phone interview that the way to stop ISIS is to "take out their families". Advocating war crimes on national TV.
He is anti Lobby? He's using it as a talking point to beat people he categorizes as "bought", yet he's not actually advocating fixing the problem like Sanders is. Nor does he have an actual plan to make that change happen. Of course that is also ignoring the blaring hypocrisy as he has and continues to buy politicians regularly.
he's pro-PP? Because he offers a "plan" to defund only the abortion funding? PP largely already does this internally. Also trump has been pro choice for a large chunk of his public life, so pandering seems incredibly likely.
Constantly pandering to both sides of the argument doesn't make you Moderate, nor does a lack of a laid out plan. He's keeping his cars, if he actually has any, close to his chest so he can change his stance at a moment's notice in general if need be.
