my favourite, besides sanders, would be tulsi gabbard. I think she has the right mix. but 2020 is probably at least 4 years too early for her. she might be the one to follow trump should he seek and win reelection.
Yeah she needs more years under the belt before she can really make it on a national stage, and has almost nothing to her name. Inexperience can be overcome with a groundswell of support like Obama managed, but that took his very dramatic speech to the DNC being replayed and he was older and more experienced besides. America is going to be very suspicious of anyone running on qualifications like 'first samoan, hindu, female military major', which would play well next to experience and cast her as a token without it.
I think I can comfortably dismiss most of the nobody house or governors that have expressed interest. Hickenlooper barely won his own state, Patrick left politics and has a brother's sex scandal and his involvement, Newsom still has an affair in his closet, cooper won his state by 0.2%, etc etc down the line. Maybe Cuomo, but whats centrist to NYC is far left to the rest of the country and he's certainly gotten the ire of conservatives

i think we can all agree that trump will certainly not have another term, if he survives this one
it is a one time thing and the establishment wont let this happen again
Right now the most likely outcome for 2020 based on what I see right now is that Warren will win the primaries and then lose the general election even worse than Hillary did, giving Trump an easy second term.
But thats just the
most likely out of many many possibilities and its unlikely it will end up that way, but one of the myriad others.
