HK is where I work and it has more freedom than Singapore in many ways.
As I said you don't know things around the world.
1. Singapore is not a US military base.we do allow their navy to approach because we have friendly relationship
2. For a population of 5.8 million we provide 250, 000 direct jobs fir America citizens.
3. We have trade surplus and do not take any aid from USA.
4. We own 3.14 % of Blackrock.not a lot but ya. You won't allow Chinese institutions to own shares in such an entity.
5. We sit on the tip of the straits of Malacca surrounded by 300 million Muslims.
6. We are an ex colony that follows common law.
So before you mouth off saying we are a US military base......You better think twice.
Maybe one day Singapore will pivot to China fully because there are people like you who treats partners that provide safe passage, sage environment for all your MNCs and have to take veiled insults from.
