My favorite PARD reoccurring conversation is the "your side lies more" argument where a 12 paragraph long definition of a "lie" is needed to even start substantiating it.
neither party is more truthful, neither cares about you. you're a vote and a tiny fraction of an opportunity for them to get cash payouts from corporate america. that's it, that's all politics is.
want proof? put campaign finance reform on the table and watch 198+ of 200 senators walk away. there isn't a single politician in today's politics who would push for it, because they're all bought pandering liars.
your assumption that your side is looking out for the people is nothing but the end product of your political bias. it's not factually based by anything except a study from a university where your political bias rules. and that goes for both sides.
post me up on /r/elightenedcentrism all you want, but if you vote for a party instead of a person it's because you're a sucker. i take bonus sales off suckers like you 3 times a day.
I've never voted for a party instead of a person, I've never considered Democrats to be "my side", and I've been openly critical of Democrats the entire time I've been posting on this forum.
If you think both parties are equal, then you're an idiot. If you think which is better or worse is dependent on what you value, you are correct. If you think based on your values they are roughly equal such that a distinction can't be meaningfully made, then I'm gonna ask you to give your reasons. But saying neither party is more truthful, you're just being lazy and desperately trying to convince yourself that you're enlightened. One party's reasoning and stances conforms with reality significantly more than the others, and that's just obvious if you're willing to take a critical eye.
