it's fun reading back through some of the comments and as trump gained momentum the number of trump votes in this thread doubled

I always thought positively of him, and it was disturbing how he was treated at the start. Id argue the vitriol was half of why he became so successful.

Hillary wouldn't be assured of a victory in September in she wasn't up against a total clown whose only accomplishment was assuring the Public he doesn't have small hands.

I'm seriously so sick of hearing about Trump already; he's a fringe candidate who stands no chance at getting the nomination. He's this year's Ron Paul (gets tons of attention on the internet but loses by a landslide).

Donald made him post that, it's his fault.

Why would he? He had the informed opinion at the time.

Con jobs aren't successful if people don't play their parts convincingly and Marks weren't so predictable.

Everyone posting this even though this was a year ago and I was right at the time

If you recall, he has already run for president in the past and failed miserably. Nobody predicted him being a serious contender. If you bet on him to win the Republican primary you would've gotten like 40x your money or something ridiculous. At the time he wasn't a serious contender. Things have changed dramatically, for a number of reasons.

So no, I don't feel stupid, I feel like that I was absolutely correct at the time given the information available and people at the time were exaggerating his position in the race. The people who pretend like I was off-base with that claim are the ones who should feel stupid.

It's a bit like calling someone stupid for going all-in with four Ks on the flop, and your opponent has pocket As and grabs two more As on the turn and river. No, that was clearly the correct call at the time, but luck struck. You guys are like the ones who thought the pocket As would win after only seeing the flop.

voyaging im pretty sure trump never ran for president without doing any research he was thinking about it four years ago but ended up not doing it. You should feel slightly off beat about your comment a year ago if you did a little research on trump you'd know that he would be a solid contender at least top 3 to the end. Your poker metaphor makes no sense but thanks for playing...please go on with your comments it's enjoying to know the opposite will happen

I only read a few sections, but geez. Maybe Trump can request a Who wants to be a millionaire format for the debates against Hillary... he's gonna need a few lifelines.
