What an absolute disaster for this venture at this point. This only seems good for Russia. Presumably their oil exports continue to rise.
Trump still has some support from people who think, hur boom, boom brown person die good for us crowd but the mid-terms will be fairly interesting i'd say.
America still sits in the best place of any nation on earth if a global economic collapse happens. but thats like saying you're the best swimmer in a sinking boat. you might have the best chance to swim to shore but its gonna suck no matter what.
I do think Russia like many nations likes to see rising oil prices, but if there's a massive global downturn they will still have a really hard time.
the sad part is in hindsight when this does trigger a global recession Trump will have his fanboys saying he's a genius who 4d chessed it all. when in reality he's just flying blind.
