He was president when we came out of the recession. That's not the same thing as "bringing" us out, which he didn't do.

I'm not an economist so idk but it seems like the consensus is that the stimulus was causal.

You mean where they said unemployment wouldn't top 8% and it broke 10%? About the only thing the ARRA did was extend unemployment benefits and food stamps for the people who did lose their jobs that they said wouldn't.
