it's pretty much the same thing when you jump in with medical conditions to make excuses for lazy people who have no self control

if you accept that everyone can lose weight then the medical conditions are irrelevant as the path to good health is the same regardless of the degree of obesity or how unhealthy your diet is

Except it's not when it's a medical condition that makes every single one of the things that helps you lose weight into a much harder uphill climb.

I'm not saying it's impossible for anyone, but I'm saying that it's much, much harder for some people and that telling them they just need to start eating right and excercising is like pointing out that people just need to not shoot heroin. It's true, sure, but what good is pointing it out when it's not happening?

haven't you ever played diablo2 ? if you put all the items together, you don't need any points assigned to strength ... the items will support themselves

do all the things together, and no effort will be required

Just curious, how proficient are you at building and maintaining muscle mass?

bringing up the fact that it will be hard to lose weight due to x, y, z medical conditions will at best discourage people from attempting to better their lives and at worst make people think that there is no way out for them - there are many morbidly obese people who already believe in the worst case scenario and in fact one of them got her own tv show which was mentioned in the first post of this thread

We should start refusing food stamps to obese people, they can survive without it

We should take junk off food stamps. I'm not saying Ramen, but snack foods like soda that offer no nutritional value. I'm in favor of a large leeway on this, but there are some things that just shouldn't be there.
