at least the democrats try to pay for things like with mandates and taxes

this is the movie groundhog day for the bush years

Democrats reduced the deficit, Republicans will jack it sky high and wreck the economy with short term policies. That's just how it goes.

Did this thread just automatically become the thread to talk about/mock his flailing administration?

"Trump Wants credit for bring down national debt"

great news article on how trump is still a pos after losing the election apparently ....triggered .gif

I really hoped I wouldn't have to duckwalk anybody through this one, but he hasn't brought down anything. No one, anywhere, evaluates our fiscal expenditures or receipts on a monthly basis -- that's done on a yearly basis (at minimum) or sometimes over the span of a decade. This is because evaluating these things on a monthly basis would be hilariously irresponsible; our government brings in an atypical amount of money in April for example that it doesn't in July.

The fact that our receipts were so much higher in January 2017 than they were in January 2009 is a credit to Obama and the 111th Congress preventing a Great Depression and proving an economic turnaround that's been the envy of the world. It has literally nothing to do with Trump.

How it goes, and how it's gone for 100 years. All of a sudden, shock of all shocks, the GOP doesn't care about the deficit anymore. They aren't even willing to go through the motions of pretending to be fiscally responsible anymore, which had been their base position these past 20 years. Republicans only (pretend to) care about Democratic deficits.

The dossier he produced last year alleged, among other things, that associates of Trump colluded with the Kremlin on cyberattacks on Democrats and that the Russians held compromising material about the Republican nominee.

These and other explosive claims have not been verified.

Quote
On Tuesday, House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) told reporters that he had seen “no evidence so far” of Trump campaign contacts with Russia but said a bipartisan House inquiry would proceed so that “no stone is unturned.”

Quote
The revelation that the FBI agreed to pay Steele at the same time he was being paid by Clinton supporters to dig into Trump’s background could further strain relations between the law enforcement agency and the White House.

Quote
After he was publicly identified by the Wall Street Journal as the dossier’s author, Steele went into hiding.

Quote
The owner of a technology company identified in Steele’s dossier as a participant in the hacks is now suing Steele and BuzzFeed for defamation. BuzzFeed apologized to the executive and blocked out his name in the published document.

Comey spent almost two hours this month briefing the Senate Intelligence Committee. Democrats in the House have informally reached out to Steele in recent weeks to ask about his willingness to testify or cooperate, according to people familiar with the requests. Steele has so far not responded, they said.

So... the guy was payed by Hillary supporters and when his name comes out he is no where to be found? If he really had some damning evidence why is he refusing requests to testify?

I'm against the wall and think the military should be cut down but I don't have an issue working on taxes and not cutting entitlements

but for a party that is always talking about moochers and debt they don't ever seem to lead by example

"Pelosi to Democrats: Treat Trump voters like a friend whose boyfriend is a jerk

...

Pelosi did, however, make a sweeping judgment about educated women who voted for Trump rather than Hillary Clinton.

"White educated women who voted against Hillary? They voted with their husbands on taxes and they always have," declared Pelosi"

surely, this is the nail in drumpf's coffin

yeah, saying stuff like that already worked out well for clinton with her "basket of deplorables" quote or for romney with his 47%-quote.
