PC diversity quotas do not improve anything, but do make things worse. Adding more black or brown or green or purple people doesn't produce better results.
The most qualified people should be in charge, regardless of the color of their skin or genitalia or who they like to stick it in. If whitey is the most qualified, whitey should lead.
In the GOP it this is never the case though. They are the party of nepotism. And unearned privilege. And in the case of white pride, false pride.
And diversity does produce better results, because the more ideas going into a situation there is, the more options there are for solutions. Ever hear of Design Thinking? It is very effective. You can't do that with only one view point.
I don't believe a bunch of sycophants who buy cabinet positions are that great tbh. But we can agree to disagree.

while I wholeheartedly agree, one simply MUST admit how unlikely it is to have not a single black or latino in a group of the 30+ most qualified persons when blacks & latinos together make up something like 25-30% of the country's population...
republicans are very white, and blacks and latinos are disadvantaged. but PC, quotas and the likes are absolutely not the right way to change that. and blacks and latinos are, on average, underperforming whites and asians. liberals must finally accept that not every percent of the underprivilege is the result of discrimination; part of it is also their fault.
You don't have to be a genius to have good ideas. And only poor leaders believe they can make policy without the input of the people it affects. Unfortunately, the GOP is made up of poor leaders. I mean, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnel....Donald Trump...all are kind of shitty.
I guess Obama is a hard act to follow though. It was fun watching for 8 years as the GOP struggled to accept their better.
