The overwhelming majority of people are in cities, but if you normalize for the population there's more attempts per person in rural areas.
On this, I will request proof be given. I can find nothing that justifies your statement, on several counts:
1. There are more attempts per single individual on average in high population density areas. This is primarily connected to health care saving the life of the attempted. It has gotten so bad that attempting suicide and failing has been criminalized.
2. The number of people per thousand population who attempt suicide at least once is higher in cities than it is in rural areas.
3. Pineapple STILL belongs on pizza.
Prove me wrong, because every number I see says the opposite of what you say, and you're making the assertion.
