Politics has become just a game of refusing and attacking everything the opponents suggest, regardless of its actual merit, and accepting it when its one's own party.
We're seeing it now with the wildly socialistic things Trump has already begun doing, and in his plans to drastically ramp up infrastructure spending, things that the GOP would've laughed at if e.g. Obama were to try.
Trump offered a firm advantages in order to keep 1,000 jobs in the US, directly thwarting competition, and he's being lauded by the right while Obama was crucified for doing the same to Detroit car manufacturers.
In certain instances his effect will be even more liberal than Clinton would've been because of this advantage he has of not being immediately dismissed because of his political party.
