I have never actually heard someone use the term 'cisgender' as an insult. Never.

?

I don't discriminate against straight people... I think the whole 'cis scum' thing was pretty awful and the guy on the right in your pic is a damned embarrassment unless he's playing a part in a pantomime.

I always enjoy some binge watching.  I finished The Sopranos in a couple weeks

the Sopranos and Oz rule, didn't really fancy the Wire as much as i fancied them.
tho Oz got weaker after season 4-5 or so, and the Sopranos couldn't really beat how great the first seasons were

i wish they'd filmed more of Rome.

one view of the capital and it's general propositions, imo it needs a stronger focus on some parts. a bit of a "Soviet view" perhaps? needs more humanism / ideology.
i don't that much like it as a whole representation of Marx's ideas.

feel free to pm me aout Althusserian ideas if anyone's checked into them, as they're next on my reading list.

a rough sketch of Hegel's science of being from "The Logic of Science" according to some people, useful from everything from Leftist Hegelians (Feurbach, Engels, Marx, their associates and somewhat Striner (a hang-around?)) to more modern interpretations (Heidegger, somewhat Derrida via Heidegger and 100% Sartre via Heidegger) to most modern continental philosophy (Badiou, Zizek). the Logic of science is very hard to interpret by anyone at all though, so the sketch might be wrong altogether.
Very, very useful with Badiou and the Event imo. one can't really escape Hegel - whether it's from Kierkegaard's and Schopenhauer-Nietzsche's rejection, to Heidegger's synthesising to Deleuzan opposition of him.
or Zizek's Lacanian reading of him (i really don't like Zizek...) with Badiou's view.

Why don't you like Zizek?

he's pretty good for popularising his views and he's pretty good at putting them out, but i generally dislike Lacan. this far i've not liked / understood him that well at all.
i need to get more into the Sublime Object of Ideology, but i don't expect that much.

comparing to him... even though i don't fully understand Deleuzian views, his understanding of... "Nietzschean-Spinozean"-views are still great imo - whether it be from our consciousness to our understanding of the society. Deleuze really was a prophet, as things like the Internet are imo best understood via concepts such as the "corpse without organs".
perhaps i'll like Zizek more if i'll appreciate Lacan more. more than Zizek i'm into Heidegger (and his influences), Deleuze, Marx and Kierkegaard. a fucked up combination :D

i'm really trying to get into Freud-Lacan though, but this far it's been.. meh.
Freud without Lacan rules at his own field thugh ;)

check out Negri's "the Empire" btw if you like Marxian analysis.
