Precisely. Guy is horrendous on issues nearly across the board, but hes no longer a threat to democrats and is criticizing trump so all of a sudden hes reasonable and moderate to some of them.

McCain is certainly more open minded on some issues but you're right that on some like the military/war he is very very right wing

John McCain is trying to keep the balance between sticking to his principles and appeasing his voter base in Arizona.

I thought he would have a stronger spine than this tbh. He has confirmed all of Trump's picks and has only been barking, zero bite.

According to the article, Rockwall County, Texas, Sheriff Harold Eavenson mentioned that a state senator in Texas wanted to change the asset forfeiture law. The change would require that a person be convicted of a crime before his or her assets could be seized.
"Who is the state senator? Do you want to give his name? We'll destroy his career," Trump replied, according to Politico.
