There are many oil companies that do a 14/7 schedule and almost every one of them pay for transportation, housing , and $50-100 per deim for living expenses. Those are jobs on the actual rigs usually. My company will put you up in a “man camp” which is basically a trailer park with hundreds of studios for everybody to have their own spot.

The company I am with now manufactures and ships the pipes. injuries are way less common than on the rigs. Every injury is because of people not following the rules. Usually it is a crushed finger, but several people have died doing outrageously stupid shit.





So you think because your construction company pays less than an oil company I am lying… The company I am with is a global manufacturer of pipes. Without pipes there is no oil industry. We load hundreds of trucks a day at our location, every single truck carrying millions of dollars worth of product.

A single day’s revenue can pay the salary of everybody at that location. The construction company you worked for wasn’t anywhere near as profitable.
