Calling yourself a liberal doesn't mean you can't be authoritarian.
We went over this the other day. Liberals have abandoned classical liberal values. The modern democratic party is very authoritarian even if they would describe themselves as liberal.
The democrats are not a party of classical liberals. They openly hate and oppose the essence of classical liberalism.
They want a strictly controlled economy and a massive authoritarian government, not free markets and individual liberty.
