This story is why the bill linked in OP is so important: https://www.yahoo.com/news/louisiana-woman-forced-painful-hours-204001923.html

Leaving medical decisions to medical personnel instead of agenda-driven politicians would have saved this woman hours of pain and suffering. She was forced to deliver a miscarriage over the course of hours instead of receiving a 15-minute procedure to evacuate a non-viable pregnancy. This is not the first story, nor the last that will come out from states that have criminalized abortion in the wake of Dobbs.

After reading this article, basically the woman had to just do a regular labor.

Oh, wow.

Unnecessary labor to push out a non-viable fetus carries larger risk of complications than what used to be the standard of care. A study was recently done at hospitals in Texas looking out health outcomes for women in this situation after Texas' abortion law went into effect 9 months ago, and they're damning. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0002937822005361?via%3Dihub

This study is tracking women who are suffering miscarriages primarily from their water breaking early at a timepoint where the fetus is 100% non-viable. At this point, the fetus will no longer survive, there is nothing medically to be done for that fetus and it will either pass in the form of a miscarriage or the patient will die with a dead fetus inside her. These women show 2x the risk of serious complications from being forced to birth these non-viable fetus's compared to standard of care in states without abortion bans.

Okay, you convinced me. Abortion on demand until birth with zero restrictions. Because extreme rare cases where women have to deliver a miscarriage. Way to exploit shitty situations.

But seriously, let’s abandon all morality and reason to make sure this woman doesn’t go through a few hours of pain.

Alternative interpretation: Republican abortion laws are unnecessarily vague to the point of intentional cruelty.

That is the entire point of me bringing this up. This bill is intentionally unrestrictive so it can legalize the cruelest actions imaginable. What kind of funny farm world are we living in where it is okay to end the life of children with no abandon, just because of extremely rare events such as this.

Beating a horse that used to be a dead horse but is now a decomposed bag of mush here but even with exceptions for things that would cause immediate harm to the mother, you would still support full out unrestricted abortion. For example, the law clearly states the only legal form of abortion is that where the life of the mother is in danger, or even may be in danger. Please, correct me if I am wrong.

They also don't want to admit that if they're going to equate abortion to murder, it means that they're going to forcibly hold someone pregnant into insolation, only continuing to provide the basics of food/air/water, until they deliver.
