The year democracy almost got devoured by capitalism & populism on social media steroids.
Question for Reps:
What if Trump succeeded in overthrowing election results, actually being the one stealing the election. Would you:
1) see this as a democratic win and not a coup?
2) fight an army of protesters against the coup?
Not a Republican, but I can answer your question at any rate: Your question is shit.
The legal process to challenge the results of an election is enshrined in the Constitution. It exists for a reason. Trump utilized every method at his disposal in an attempt to win. He failed, hence, Joe Biden is the Legitimate President. If, however, Trump had succeeded, he would have "won". To "steal" is to take without permission or legal right.
There is no official "winner" until Congress certifies the electors. Once that had occurred, the process was over, and all that was left was to Inaugurate Biden. Had the objections raised in the certification process led to alternative electors being used, then Trump would have "won". And any attempt at that point by Biden to maintain the façade of "President Elect" would have been an attempt to "steal" power.
