https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxbmYHWnqLwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPAuTiO1zRgKamala Harris did a complete 180 flip flop on fracking. She previously explicitly said she wanted to ban all fracking, and now says she wouldn't ban fracking.
Joe Biden has staked out an 'official' position in which he states he would ban future permits for fracking while grandfathering in existing permits, which the Trump camp argues is tantamount to a fracking ban. However, Joe Biden being Joe Biden, has flubbed that response in debates and said he
would ban all fracking while arguing with Bernie Sanders during the primaries, then after the debate walked it back and said his position hadn't changed. When Biden is talking to liberal audiences, he plays up his plan as a 'ban on fracking'. When he's talking to voters in Pennsylvania, he plays up his plan as 'not a ban on fracking'. He's chosen to stick with the latter messaging on a national stage.
If there's any confusion over Biden's position its his fault for the transparent pandering, but for Harris its pure flip flopping, she can't walk away from that
appreciate the info but this level of flip flopping is a drop in the bucket in the current political climate. obviously they are pandering to voters, as the current administration has done more times than i can count.
i will say that Pence came across better just in terms of tone in this debate, even if he was just spouting talking points and ignoring questions the whole time.
end result: no one's mind is changed on either side after this debate, which only hurts trump. pence came out looking decent individually purely based on how low the bar seems to be set at this point.
