I am quite accepting of the fact you consider that the hallmark of good politicians.

A good politician knows how to get reelected. That's the only qualification.

It's the nature of politics. Politicians pivot from the primary to the general, they change positions once in office, they might take a position early in the campaign and then abandon it, they'll(as VPs) bend their positions to favor the president.

Rest assured, if Biden gets into office, reverses himself and bans fracking, I won't embarrass myself by defending him.

both biden and harris used their political power to lock up minorities disproportionately for nonsense crimes. just what pale pasty privileged lefty straight-ticket (D) voters like icepeon (D-basement) and robert byrd (D-kkk) have always wanted and frequently vote for

It's more likely he'd start sounding like T. Boone Pickens than banning anything.

Biden has firmly stated his position numerous times and you don't want to accept it because you'd prefer he was a different candidate.

I don't think anybody here expects you to be self aware.

I don't see anybody saying Kamala did better. Ice only said she did what she needed, in that she didn't do damage.

Sounds like you're upset Kamala and Joe are good politicians.

When the hallmark of the "good politicians" that you support is that they either lie convincingly, simultaneously support positions that are mutually exclusive depending on the crowd they are speaking to, or simply refuse to answer policy questions at all, I'd say the level of self-awareness is definitely questionable.

Kamala Harris did a complete 180 flip flop on fracking. She previously explicitly said she wanted to ban all fracking, and now says she wouldn't ban fracking.
Joe Biden has staked out an 'official' position in which he states he would ban future permits for fracking while grandfathering in existing permits, which the Trump camp argues is tantamount to a fracking ban. However, Joe Biden being Joe Biden, has flubbed that response in debates and said he would ban all fracking while arguing with Bernie Sanders during the primaries, then after the debate walked it back and said his position hadn't changed. When Biden is talking to liberal audiences, he plays up his plan as a 'ban on fracking'. When he's talking to voters in Pennsylvania, he plays up his plan as 'not a ban on fracking'. He's chosen to stick with the latter messaging on a national stage.

If there's any confusion over Biden's position its his fault for the transparent pandering, but for Harris its pure flip flopping, she can't walk away from that

appreciate the info but this level of flip flopping is a drop in the bucket in the current political climate. obviously they are pandering to voters, as the current administration has done more times than i can count.

i will say that Pence came across better just in terms of tone in this debate, even if he was just spouting talking points and ignoring questions the whole time.

end result: no one's mind is changed on either side after this debate, which only hurts trump. pence came out looking decent individually purely based on how low the bar seems to be set at this point.

clearly not as local publications that arent WFOEs of foreign interests like china and russia or even mexico (ie: nyt, msnbc, the atlantic, huffpo and buzzfeed 2.0/cnn etc) are still questioning his supposed position on fracking as of today

Trump literally does that within a span of a minute sometimes. I feel like this is pretty standard stuff and y'all are just desperate to have something stick to Biden. Biden is going to win Pennsylvania and the Presidency and that's that.
