I find it funny that I literally make a post stating flatly and clearly that there is nothing arousing or sexual about this movie to me, yet the go-to zinger is “omg you’re a pervert!” Learn how to read, as well as how to think for yourselves. It is a great argument in so far as it's perhaps worthwhile to explore why Cuties is met with such a grand reaction while far more prominent examples of child sexual exploitation exists in more ubiquitous forms of media within our society and yet nobody is reacting to that at all, at least not in a meaningful amount. The same people upset about Cuties and cancelling their Netflix accounts have their kids running around on TikTok doing the "Get Naked Challenge", "I Just Had Sex Challenge", "No Bra Challenge", etc.

There's even a challenge where young girls are supposed to document telling/sharing their sexual assault stories.

Look, you wouldn’t take an alcoholic to a liquor store. But, you also wouldn’t have any issue taking them to Walmart, which also sells liquor. There’s a fundamental difference here. And it’s your perception problem of this movie. It’s not a liquor store. It’s a day of shopping at Walmart. And if you want a more direct comparison, you wouldn’t take your kids to a bikini bar, but I’m sure you take them to the beach. The simple existence of human bodies, bathing suits or other “skimpy” clothing styles, and dancing doesn’t imply anything. It’s you who are making the implication. You are angry because of what it implies about you. People like you would be happiest living under Sharia law.
