People can inhabit territory.
A name for a type of group of people doesn't mean some people rightfully claim ownership over others, or over all the land.

So you believe that a nation is nothing more than a group of individuals with a geographic association?

What is a government?

Biden running is hurting Amash's chances in important swing states
Biden should drop out.

If it were a binary choice between Amash and Trump, I'd be happy to vote for him.

to be fair, it could be between trump and a chimp on a skateboard, and it'd still be clear what the smarter choice was...

Good. But what about Amash vs Biden?

(I dont assume Hawkins or Ventura or the prohibition party candidate are the holdup here)

Yes wanting more liberty is exactly like being a flat earther.

Another great anti-intellectual brainstorm from sub-80 HG

meanwhile he keeps unironically screaming for Barnie the current posterchild of capitalism (identifies ‘demand’ for socialism, provides supply in the form of Presidential runs, and makes money off it)

At that point it would be a typical republican vs a typical democrat, since Amash would only get to pass things in his platform that comport with the typical Republican agenda, so I'd be pretty apathetic but probably go with Biden.

Taxes being theft is much less controversial as an idea than women not being able to completely control their own reproduction in a capitalist environment where the father has the option to pay their way out of fatherhood built into the system itself, and not see how that is discrimination by a government worthy of liberty.

I'm not going to argue with Cam about this because from my understanding it is a values difference and there is nothing to argue about. I do feel like in general people have a right and expectation to be left alone and any deviation from that needs serious justification.

If you want a police force and social services, they go hand and hand, it will require taxes....

...on the other hand two towns in the outskirts of Cincinnati, Newtonsville and Amelia, voted themselves out of political existence, and those peoples' lives haven't changed significantly and there are is less government in their lives. There is still county and state ofc.

left leaning libertarians such as myself tend to be pro choice and anti tax. you just have to shift the dials to "NAP starts at the stage of cognition" instead of "NAP starts at conception" to allow for both.

the main reason i moved into the country, into a small unincorporated township, was to avoid any and all govt interference just like those two towns. when a pack of rowdy drunks crashed through my mailbox and got their truck stuck in my drainage ditch it took the cops 25 minutes to get there. mind you this was after me telling them on 9-11 that the people were trying to escape and damaging property by repeatedly trying to ram their truck up and out of a 6 foot ditch they slid into. so i handed the 9-11 phone to my wife, set my phone up to record in the window, grabbed my .410, and walked outside. luckily they were happy drunk after a Packers win, unarmed, and nonviolent. so i unloaded my gun and offered them to stay in my garage until the police showed up then walked up to open the garage (it was like zero degrees and they were all in short sleeved jerseys). well they got spooked because i said cops, called someone to come get them, 3 out of the 4 jumped into a truck, and the last guy was found a block away stumbling aimlessly knocking on doors because he was so cold. literally couldnt find my garage that was 20 feet away. and that's fine by me, if the cops took another hour i wouldnt have cared unless i had to kill someone which seems unlikely. im simply too far out for people to come find my in almost all cases. fuck city planning regulations, building codes, police presence, neighbors, parking tickets, etc. ive got my chickens roaming free, rainwater collecting setup, i built a shed for my mower and garden tools no permit (illegally, as if the country cares enough to come find me), and my voting poll takes 2 mins to vote total. walk in, ID handed over, 20 open ballot boxes, done. cities are a cancer.

You can definitely earn non-taxed income. Oregon has no sales tax and illegal migrant workers who get paid under the table don't pay income tax.

Good luck with the wife. Next time let's pick a topic we disagree on and we can actually have an enlightening discussion about!

i kinda covered non-taxed labor. its the same as squatting in this comparison. both can be done without tax, neither is legal, both jail-able offenses. so they cancel out in the comparison of the two.

No, you're a milquetoast statist who can't stand it when people don't respect the authoritah.

A society this big takes statism to survive. This isnt the 1700's. A libertarian ideal of how America should be is a pie in the sky.
