you don't actually think that sanders 'reaching out' (can you explain how you imagine that could have looked please?) would have changed anything about the DNC's attitude towards him, or even prevented the curious case of the magic and sudden consolidation of the corporate vote just in time for super tuesday, do you?
it's one of those hilariously transparent 'if only he had done xyz - it's totally his fault he's getting screwed by the people who have been screwing him anyway repeatedly for years now' attempts to frame principles and backbone as arrogance or presumptuousness.
How exactly is Bernie getting
screwed?
He's still getting the ~25% that he was getting before. The only difference is that he's no longer able to rake in strong pluralities with such a low vote share because he's no longer competing against a hyperfractured field where four freaking candidates split the moderate lane.
The simple and brutal truth that you refuse to acknowledge is that Bernie never, at no point, came even close to having majority support among the Democratic primary electorate. The DNC didnt have to screw or cheat Bernie - all they had to do was make sure that his rivals stop cockblocking each other and instead rally around the strongest of them.
And just for the record: I share your sentiment that Biden is a pretty pathetic candidate, and that it's not reflecting well on the Democratic party that they couldnt find a better "establishment candidate" than sleepy joe.
