reporters behaviour is to ask then listen, not give a lengthy statement on their views when nobody asked them
for once i would agree with you, no doubt acosta was obnoxious, grandstanding and out of line - i just think it's hilarious that you ppl hold (some) reporters to higher standards than the president, who was dismissive and belligerent towards him from the get-go, blatantly dishonest, outright insulting, and again publicly attacking all critical media.
the worst part (and subject of this thread) is that then an incident is fabricated to get rid of acosta that - even if you contest the experts that say the infowars video was doctored to make acosta's movement look more aggressive - in no way supports the white house's official justification to suspend him, literally fake news. no reasonable human being watches the video of the intern trying to grab the mic from him and acosta pushing her reaching arm aside and would call that an attack. should he have yielded the mic? sure, but was he being aggressive towards her? ridiculous...
i'm well aware that this administration has a tendency to hide behind women when it's convenient (like claiming it's misogyny to hold sarah sanders accountable for her words), but this is pathetic and dishonest even by their standards.
