Insurance is a calculated risk for both sides. There are certain types of coverage I don't think are worth it so I won't buy them, if "bad luck" befalls me in one of these areas then that's the price I pay. A good risk analysis should show that overtime I will save more than enough to cover the off chance that I am hit with a problem that isn't covered - if that isn't the case, then I should buy the insurance.
Let me ask you this, do you always buy the most expensive insurance package when you rent a car?
