I remember it. It was a tuesday, and I was just on my way back to home from school (had the afternoon off). When I came home my sister said to me: Two towers collapsed in NY. I didn't believe it, thought it was a joke. She heard it on the radio whilst making homework. We flicked the tv on, and on all channels was 9/11 broadcasting. I still have the chills whenever I see the footage of those jumping out the windows. Later that night, I had typing class, and whilst I was cycling there, I felt a hatred growing inside me for whoeve committed this atrocious act.

Nevertheless, USA's response wasn't all that great either.

Many posters here were too young to remember the intense trauma inflicted on the American psyche that day. They might forget, but I never will.

I'm glad you reminded me of their ages as I was sitting here wondering what to reply back .

Perhaps the lesson they will take from this is to be learned in the future because if one thing was proven on that horrible day it is that our enemy considers nothing off limits and actually prefers inflicting civilian damage over military .




A word to those of you who scoff at honoring this day of remembrance ; your own days of remembrance are yet to come and I fear what you will face will be burned in your souls deeper than the shadows that are burned into the concrete in what was left of Hiroshima and Nagasaki .

On that horrible day you will finally understand and you will also be changed forever .
