not at all!
people have become to absorbed into the so called "reality" TV shows and its the farthest thing from reality.
I don't believe how dumbed down society has become to find alot of the things out there now "entertaining"

Anything that doesn't fit into their perfect little world,or doesn't come out of the TV must be either fake or flawed
they managed to program us so effectively its like a form of hypnotism.

It is a form of hypnotism.

Check out this article: http://www.familyresource.com/lifestyles/mental-environment/television-opiate-of-the-masses
Quote
Psychophysiologist Thomas Mulholland found that after just 30 seconds of watching television the brain begins to produce alpha waves , which indicates torpid (almost comatose) rates of activity. Alpha brain waves are associated with unfocused, overly receptive states of consciousness. A high frequency alpha waves does not occur normally when the eyes are open. In fact, Mulholland's research implies that watching television is neurologically analogous to staring at a blank wall.

I should note that the goal of hypnotists is to induce slow brain wave states. Alpha waves are present during the "light hypnotic" state used by hypno-therapists for suggestion therapy.

It's awesome in the sense that it does inspire awe. The sheer magnitude of deception is startling and it is the main reason most people do not believe it.
Nobody wants to believe that they are being hypnotized while watching television, nor do they want to believe that they are being medicated in their drinking water, and boiling potatoes etc etc. Life is so much more comfortable in their "reality show" reality when they refuse to believe these things.

Hell, even I don't want to believe it. :)

Yeah, don't bother. This is his life it seems. He sits around all day waiting to troll someone and then comes out and does a terrible job of it. The lesson I have learned is this: Don't even give people the satisfaction of a reply, unless they are directly making a point, because it's simply not worth the effort, and eventually they move to their next target/victim of time well wasted.

edit: He's got some pretty good fat between his ears though, so pay attention to his intelligent posts. Just disregard these useless ones. :)

For the same reason people are unhappy. Too much placating themselves with vain forms of entertainment and when they get bored of whatever game, or show they prescribe to, they search the internet to fill the void of entertainment that is their main addiction. We all suffer from it in one way or another. It's just another symptom of a sick society.

Yes we suffer from the vicious conditioning called the crucible of reality.

You could say that. At least you were on topic and accurate this time.
Even though you say it in jest, you actually do understand that this is a simple truth.

It has been suggested on other forums. If you really want to get an idea for timewave zero or novelty theory, and read a topic dedicated to discussion rather than closed minded ignorance, then check this one out.

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread392386/pg1

The timewave shows that history is resonating in on itself. The past becomes the future in a fractal pattern that increases in novelty at certain times and condenses the past history into a zero point ultimately bringing about a point in time (2012) where the novelty becomes flat lined (infinite novelty perhaps?).

Also, this is another distinction between 2012 and y2k, based on what HERETICtheory already stated in his introductory post on timewave zero:

Interesting thought indeed.

Great thread. I like how he expanded on the idea. I looked a bit more into the idea of Technological Singularity and this seems to be an evolution of the kind of ideas McKenna was theorizing. After reading more about it, I am extremely interested in the possibilities.

There is a very interesting video that was pointed out to me by someone lurking this forum that I found to be quite entertaining, thought provoking and enlightening all at the same time.

It's called "2012 Enigma" by David Wilcock

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4951448613711060908

Let me know if you get a chance to watch this so we can discuss it in detail.
Of course, you will have to be open minded about it.

I have only watched the first 30 minutes so far. I need to take these kinds of films a little at a time. I will probably be done tonight though.

At first some of his arguments were not as compelling to me so I felt unable to make a clear judgment (and I still need to verify certain information when I am finished watching) but as he went further into his presentation things started hatching in my mind. I especially like the part about the pineal gland. I think it is very interesting to see it so prominent within the Christian religion. Also, the concepts of the shapes of life and sacred geometry is extremely interesting. Something powerful that I feel should be noted is that DMT is speculated by Dr. Rick Strassman, among others, to be found naturally in the human brain and also within the pineal gland. Many users of DMT report seeing the same machine-like moving balls. These balls are generally considered to be these types of shapes in various forms; decahedron, dodecahedron, octahedron, tetrahedron, terrasect, etc. I also find it extremely fascinating that these shapes are seen inverting themselves, which is exactly what they are said to be doing during a DMT experience, also known as "self-transforming." To me, this suggests the possibility of 4th dimensional abilities associated with DMT, and even further than that, our brain. Considering that DMT is extremely structurally similar to the neurotransmitter known as serotonin (5-Hydroxytryptamine vs. N,N-Dimethyltryptamine), it is curious as to why the chemicals that are most like those found in our brains are also some of the most incredible and mind shattering experiences, especially realizing that a terrasect is considered to be a 4th dimensional cube.

I will let you know what I think when I am finished but it seems very interesting.

Thanks for trying to send that file.

NO THANKS for publicly displaying my private email address I trusted you with. I see you went to the trouble to edit out your own address in the screen shot but left mine in full view. Smooth move :(

I'm sure you never bothered to check the site rules http://forums.d2jsp.org/info.php?p=9

Well, I feel like a jackass for not thinking about that earlier and I truly apologize as that was not my intent. I assumed right off the bat that if I blocked out yours then you would call me a liar. I suppose I shouldn't jump to conclusions. Sorry for fucking up, I would never do that on purpose. I hope that you can accept my apology.

The only sacred geometry that exists is the sectio divina.

Following a tip from Dataflunkyjunky I got a copy from a torrent site.

I accept your apology. Next time I suggest using a service like http://www.yousendit.com/. Archive the files into a single file (zip them). Upload it to yousendit with the email address you want to receive the file. It will email them (and you) a link where the file can be downloaded for 7 days. You can then send that link to other people so they can download it (during that same 7 day window). You don't even have to register to use the service.

I don't think your a liar, I'm fully convinced you believe this stuff. I don't think I (or anyone other than yourself) could ever convince you otherwise. I don't think a photo of Terence McKenna smoking crack while writing this stuff would convince you.

The truth is there are tons of silly ideas out there, pretending to be science. I suggest getting a good baloney detection kit (reference to "The Demon Haunted World" by Carl Sagan).
