I gotta say, I thought Trump was incredibly strong in this press conference. He maintained a humorous attitude throughout, and handled most of the questions well.

CNN being incredibly negative about it in their reaction right now, lol.

Honestly when he was answering a few policy questions or talking about time tables for things he was good. If he could just stfu about the media, not ever use a paraphrased statistic, and forget who HRC is he'd be better off. its downright cringeworthy the digs he's tossing out at some of the reporters let alone some of the HRC deflections. like how many times do we need to hear about the failed reset or broadcasting military engagements. fuck fucks sake.

He kept control and got some good jokes in and kept switching back to acting graciously to the reporters he liked and really stomped on the anti-semitism charged question, he even set it up with the prediction
But good lord he invoked hillary clinton more than marco rubio invoked dispelling the fiction that barack obama doesn't know what he's doing.
I really thought at the start, like his previous talk with Bibi, he sounded like a 70 or 80 year old man just creaking along, but he whipped himself up when he started grabbing her by the pussy all over again

good tele stomp on that antisemitism bait question. good handling of the inner cities question except the end which seemed a bit wonky.

the other thing to me is he seems almost too inflexible in his style. He's definitely got down his businessman bluster and used it to win the debates and can unwind seemingly indefinitely without misstep, but in some ways its almost too rehearsed. When he starts talking about his wife and daughters in the same tone and 2nd person as his cabinet picks, and then gets asked questions about people libeling his wife as a hooker, he doesn't show a hint of righteous anger when a normal person would see it themselves, instead he just blusters on in the same tone. I can imagine that faced with actual dramatic situations, he might be caught like a deer in the headlights, unable to fit his normal mannerisms to the cause at hand. The precedent was set by GWB reading My Pet Goat as he's told about the towers falling.

ya he's got one tone and he sticks to it. even when he was praising the "good questions" its the same tone as "your network is fake news".

to be honest i'd love if he canned spicer and did this shit every day. the amount of deflecting to HRC and repeating the same rehearsed phrases had me cracking up in my cubical.

Yeah.. I don't know, maybe I'm just getting used to his usual antics and look past them.

Trump reminds me of the guy that's fine one on one but for some reason turns into a real dumbass in public

The dude could make his life so much easier if he just chilled out on a few select things that have been mostly mentioned in above posts
