Most political cartoons are absolute shit. They seriously make my inner graphic designer (who is still an amateur himself) go into a fit of rage.

Text should be something that adds to the message and provides additional meaning. If you need text to indicate what something that's been drawn represents, you need to reconsider what you've drawn because it serves no purpose.
