US sending thousands of additional troops to Middle East
The US will send a "few thousand" additional troops to the Middle East to boost security - and they will be prepared to defend Israel if necessary, the Pentagon says.

Multiple fighter jet squadrons and the personnel needed to support them will make up the increased presence, spokesperson Sabrina Singh said.

The jets were originally supposed to replace squadrons already there, but now both will remain in place to double the airpower.

They are not in place to assist in an evacuation, Ms Singh said, adding: "They are there for the protection of US forces."

It obviously seems like Israel is going to invade Lebanon. I have no idea what any other country will do. Irans probably not gona help out hezbollah that much but i dont pretend to know.
