Christian leaders like Robert Jeffress and Franklin Graham have sacrificed their credibility and authority on moral issues because they think it's worth it in order to get conservative judges and an administration more friendly to Christians.

What has Trump done that he couldnt have done except by torching optics? Optics matter in politics.

it's called pragmatism.

It makes sense for Christian leaders to support the lesser of two evils. One side wants late term abortions and for the taxpayer to subsidize these abortions. Naturally Christians will lean to the other side. Just because Trump is a sinner and has done shit in his life doesn't mean Christians need to diametrically oppose him. Can you point to a single politician that's a saint?

but that wasn't the choice. The choice was between a whoremonger and 15 other people with similar policy goals.

That's the thing about democracies. There's hundreds of millions of other voices and i can't speak and decide for a group. If i spoke or decided for all Christians in America i wouldn't have chosen Trump but after he got chosen it's time to be pragmatic.
