Yeah, a Faustian bargain isn't making a deal with the devil for nothing. You receive something, and lose your soul. Christian leaders like Robert Jeffress and Franklin Graham have sacrificed their credibility and authority on moral issues because they think it's worth it in order to get conservative judges and an administration more friendly to Christians.
it's called pragmatism.
It makes sense for Christian leaders to support the lesser of two evils. One side wants late term abortions and for the taxpayer to subsidize these abortions. Naturally Christians will lean to the other side. Just because Trump is a sinner and has done shit in his life doesn't mean Christians need to diametrically oppose him. Can you point to a single politician that's a saint?
Guess what if the choice is between a whoremongerer and someone who's policy will snuff the lives of tens of thousands of babies, that's a real easy choice for me to make. Should be for any Christian that thinks critically.
