you're really going to attack those two with the claim that they're not real scientists?

i'd like to think if scientists found out a meteor was on a collision course with earth they'd do all the can to ensure everyone takes the necessary steps to save the planet :o

i'm pretty sure "they" don't pretend you are "evil or ignorant" if you disagree with them, but if you intentionally try to mislead the public by acting like it's not a widely accepted FACT that man made climate change is real, like it's just up to interpretation or not true at all.

Pretending people who disagree with you are purposefully trying to mislead falls right into what I was saying.

People disagreeing with a consensus or saying things you don't like should not open them up to legal punishment.
If its really about science you should be open to hearing and possibly refuting challenges to scientific theories, not seeking to shut down conversation and scientific pursuit with state force.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons to be skeptical of the climate change narrative that has used massively false propaganda like the al gore movie and flawed+inaccurate computer models.
It does not make someone anti-science or a denier or mean they are up to a sinister plot to destroy the world.

also, i'm curious what "leftist agenda" you fear they are "forcing down our throats".

There is a wide variety of leftist policies and positions pushed by prominent members of the science march.
Whether its force funding more 'science' that gets us things like shrimp treadmill studies, forcing a radical reduction in carbon emissions and replacing it with green energy alone, expanding the pervasive and extremely costly EPA instead of making cuts and limiting its reach, SJW pronoun oppression games, etc etc.

"#RESIST donald trump" is not science.

"Hey tiny hands, fund EPA study"
"[the moab] is one example of how science is weaponized against marginalized people." -march for science twitter

just let me ask you this: do you believe man made climate change is real and that we urgently need to take steps to fight it or do you believe trump on that matter?

I believe it is real to an extent. I do not believe we have to urgently completely eliminate the use of fossil fuels, as efficient and affordable energy is a key tool to better people's lives and protect them against the climate.
Some people taking steps to limit and protect people against adverse effects of an ever changing climate would be nice and is worthwhile in my opinion.
The extent of future climate change, what those actions are, how it is funded, and if people should be forced into doing them are not settled or dictated by science.
It does not follow that catastrophic climate change theory is real, that models and talking points are necessarily accurate, etc.

Nor was my pic only about climate change.
But of course it goes right to leftist 'climate denier' talking points.
Dont like the left politicizing and butchering science? well do you believe climate change is real or are you on donald trumps side!

i had to look this guy up and i kinda had a feeling he'd be involved in stuff like this even before i knew his name

iirc you still take the side of cigarette companies and the scientists they've funded when it comes to the topic of whether or not smoking causes cancer right? personally i'd have them jailed in this day and age along with people who know better but deliberately mislead the public by peddling what they know to be pseudoscientific nonsense on the grounds of treason against your own species - i'd also jail anyone that actually tries to get kids to "learn" that the earth is 10,000 years old to give you an idea of my extremes

i don't know much about bill nye's abortion stuff but i do not share your outrage over the topic of jailing deceitful charlatans who mislead the public

Nah bro, capitalism doesn't do that. Cigarette companies are just honest people trying to provide a service! They would never lie or do anything bad because capitalism is perfect!

Imo we can handle a lot with having cheap fuel. I don't think 3rd world countries can though. (And that's where we'll feel the problems as well, ppl need to eat)
If we want to prevent wars for food and water, perhaps even complete population migration, we need to be slightly ahead of the curve, instead of being behind like we are now.
I'm not too worried though, energy change is eventually a necessity, new market opportunities are in the rise, staying behind, will likely result in loosing opportunities on the global market.
Solar is cheaper than coal within 10 years. Meaning that building coal plants right now, would cost more than investing in solar, phasing out the coal plants you already have.
To get ahead of the curve governments will have to "force it down".
Yet from my perspective, it's more fair to tax the use of fossils than to tax on employment. (It's just way more difficult to sustain such a system).

Lets be frank, the science march is a leftist virtue-signal fest. Sad to say

seriously, it speaks for itself that the best "argument" you can come up with against the VAST MAJORITY of scientists OPPOSING trump, is that "science should not be politicised".
tell me, do you really believe that orange clown when he claims that man made climate change is just a "hoax by the chinese" to damage the american economy? i wonder, why do all other countries (INCLUDING china!) "damage" their economies on purpose by trying to go green then?

the march for science claims to have protested for independent research that is fact- and data-based instead of based on political view. the march for science wants the voice of scientists be heard and trusted and respected for their professionalism and independence. those are noble and agreeable goals.

but openly being political, openly bringing an anti-trump- and pro-sjw-agenda into the protests is diametrically opposed to those goals and discredits the whole march for science. science should not be politicized, period. there is a subtle but very important difference between holding a sign reading "climate change IS real" and holding a sign that reads "shut up donny". by bringing their personal political point of view into the whole thing, a lot of scientists have shot the march for science and their own credibility as an independent, trustworthy institution in the foot.

I have looked up their twitter account and couldnt find the tweet from your screenshot anywhere. either it got deleted or it is a photoshop.
and yes, the mere fact that I considered this tweet being legit a possibility is already sad. very sad.

there are no words to describe how embarrassed i am as a physicist to see this march for science mixing up actual science with their deranged leftist agenda
its sickening

that is indeed very much true, there is no proof but very strong hints
i have looked a lot into this and if other scientists worked the same way the climate scientists do......public would execute them in public

You're right it has nothing to do with protesting dangerous, anti-fact political policies.
