I was originally hired for my job by a woman in her early 20s, whom I have never spoken to afterwards and I doubt has the capacity to do much more than ask people basic questions about their availability and job experience.

I'm confused at what exactly their angle is. He never leaked any confidential docs and apparently he was storing them properly. What exactly did he do that warranted this raid?

steal them in the first place, and not give them back upon request, despite plenty of time to do so. i'm curious: what exactly do you think he had NUCLEAR SECRETS at his private residence for? i can think of two billion reasons, but i want to hear what the trump cult thinks he did with them.

I'm fairly sure that this was by design. They MUST have known that such a raid would cause Republican officials and base voters to rally around Trump. Now, the Trump show is once again sucking the oxygen out of politics and steering focus away from the shitshow Democrats have presided over these past 2 years. The more they can make the midterms a referendum on Trump, rather than a referendum on Biden's track record, the better for them.



Has it actually been confirmed that nuclear secrets were among the confiscated documents? Iirc, all we have for this claim is a WaPo article citing "unnamed sources".

ALL former US presidents have seen and handled classified documents. ALL of them could potentially have (illegal) COPIES of said documents stashed away if they wanted to while having handed over all of the original ones right after transfer of power. This is a fabricated witch-hunt.

He clearly wasn't improperly storing them which is what I'm sure they were hoping for with the raid.

And the law doesn't work on figuring out why someone has something. We don't arrest people for owning guns because they might murder someone. This isn't Nazi Germany.
